Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of safety, fire, evacuation, emergency care, and disaster policies and procedures.
• Adheres to scheduled shift times and breaks.
• Escorts patients to treatment areas and informs therapists of their presence.
• Answers department phone calls professionally, takes messages, and transfers calls.
• Informs clinicians of patients' responses to treatment.
• Applies modalities and supports patient care per therapy practice acts.
• Notifies healthcare team of patients' whereabouts and ensures safety measures.
• Prepares and maintains work areas and cleans equipment.
• Transports patients and equipment safely and professionally.
• Assists clinicians with non-treatment aspects of therapy services and follows universal precautions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a therapy technician or nursing assistant is preferred.
• CPR certification required based on AHA standards within 30 days of hire.
