The Mental Health Specialist / Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) at Integral Care plays a crucial role in providing rehabilitative services to children suffering from serious mental illnesses and their families. This position requires the QMHP to work collaboratively with racially and culturally diverse individuals and families to help them define and achieve their desired life outcomes. The QMHP is involved in conducting diagnostic evaluations and assessing the strengths, preferences, challenges, and symptoms associated with psychiatric and/or co-occurring disorders. In addition to assessments, the QMHP is responsible for delivering individual, family, and group skills training utilizing evidence-based interventions or therapeutic modalities. The role may also involve crisis assessment and intervention when necessary. The QMHP works as part of a team of behavioral health professionals to ensure coordinated client care, and they have the opportunity to obtain clinical supervision towards their licensure hours. Integral Care provides training, supervision, and support to help the QMHP enhance their skills in assessment and intervention. Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position, and the QMHP may be required to maintain a flexible work schedule.
