About the position

The position involves assisting therapists in providing patient care duties for individuals of all ages under the supervision of the Physical Therapy Supervisor. The role emphasizes compassionate care, effective communication, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the registration and scheduling process of patients.
• Perform patient care duties under the direction of staff therapists.
• Transfer patients to and from the Rehab Therapy Gym.
• Enter charges and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions.
• Assist with treatment procedures/modalities as directed by therapists.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area according to departmental policies.
• Greet patients and visitors courteously and notify therapists of their arrival.
• Occasionally perform receptionist duties and assist with appointment scheduling.

Requirements

• One year of experience or education in therapies preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent human relation skills, particularly in listening and speaking.
