About The Position
The Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) assists with the provision of rehabilitation services to patients under the direct supervision of the physical therapist (PT), occupational therapist (OT), speech language pathologist (SLP), physical therapists assistant (PTA) or certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA). The Rehab Tech is responsible for recognizing patient changes and reporting them to the treating clinician. Additionally, the Rehab Tech maintains communication among all departments and provides operational support functions for the department, including general maintenance, cleanliness, and clerical functions necessary for the smooth operation of the department. The Rehab Tech is expected to conduct themselves in an effective professional behavior manner, demonstrating communication, basic problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, effective use of time and resources, and stress management.
