About the position
The Reino Linen Route Driver is responsible for providing quality service and products to customers by operating a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities. This role emphasizes professionalism, customer service, and adherence to safety and operational protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities.
- Load and unload laundry carts.
- Establish professional relationships with customers and provide quality customer service.
- Represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations.
- Safely operate company vehicles, including pre and post route inspections.
- Maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules.
- Follow standard vehicle operating procedures.
- Meet established route schedules.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in line with company policies.
- Deliver the product to customers in a timely manner.
- Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment.
- Cross-train on other routes as per department needs.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- Valid Class A driver's license.
- Clean driving record per company policy.
- Six months to one year of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day.
- Ability to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
- Ability to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to use repetitive arm motions.
- Ability to speak and read the English language.
