About the position

The Relationship Banker is responsible for enhancing the success of Retail Banking Centers by being a trusted resource for customers. This role involves conducting marketing activities to identify customer needs, providing solutions that drive revenue growth in loans, deposits, and noninterest income, and delivering a customer-centric experience while maintaining operational objectives. The position supports Banking Centers within the District and may require occasional Saturday work.

Responsibilities

  • Execute proactive marketing activities for customer attraction, retention, and expansion.
  • Complete assigned daily planning activities.
  • Provide effective customer onboarding and engagement, strengthening new customer relationships.
  • Act as a digital ambassador to transition customers to digital solutions.
  • Initiate quality financial wellness conversations to enhance customer relationships.
  • Support consumer portfolio management to retain and expand the number of portfolio customers.
  • Assist in community awareness events to increase bank outreach and foster new business relationships.
  • Utilize customer relationship management tools effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and Comerica's policies.
  • Complete necessary compliance-related training.
  • Control and mitigate losses by following policies and procedures.
  • Engage in Banker Readiness by developing knowledge of consumer and small business products and services.
  • Lead banking center activities in the absence of the Banking Manager.
  • Assess customer needs and add value to customers and prospects.
  • Educate and fulfill customer requests, both routine and complex.
  • Resolve customer complaints and deepen existing relationships.
  • Follow defined customer experience guidelines to impact customer experience positively.
  • Complete Comerica Platform Training Program successfully.
  • Provide remarkable customer service through all interactions, including opening new accounts and problem resolution.
  • Perform routine Teller transactions as needed.
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential.
  • Identify opportunities to add value to customers by introducing them to partners.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective marketing activities.
  • Knowledge of consumer and small business banking products and services.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
