About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Relationship Banker (SAFE) for the National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. This role involves building relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering a full range of retail banking products and services. The position requires compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and involves customer contact, account management, and collaboration with financial advisors to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with customers and understand their banking needs.
  • Identify opportunities to offer Wells Fargo retail banking deposit and credit products and services.
  • Analyze business challenges related to full-service banking for affluent and high-value customers.
  • Present recommendations for resolving inquiries and service requests regarding customer accounts.
  • Open and service accounts within authorized limits and create follow-up plans with customers.
  • Provide information to enhance customer experience through internal and external partnerships.
  • Leverage partners to connect customers with appropriate resources or relationship managers.
  • Partner with financial advisors to address investment or retirement needs of customers.
  • Provide self-service digital banking options to customers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service experience or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of assessing and meeting customer needs or issue resolution experience.
  • 1+ year of building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Successfully completed FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 examinations or equivalents.
  • Customer service focus with experience handling transactions across multiple systems.
  • Proficient in sourcing, acquiring, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of book of business processes to manage a group of customers.
  • Ability to be proactive and innovative in meeting customer needs.
  • Experience mentoring and peer-coaching.
  • Knowledge of retail compliance controls and risk management.
