About the position

As a Relationship Banker II at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with clients. This position involves managing customer accounts, understanding their financial needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance their banking experience. You will be the face of Chase in the retail branch, responsible for acquiring, managing, and retaining customer relationships while promoting self-service options for account access.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers an exceptional customer experience by acting with a customer-first attitude.
  • Manages assigned customers and proactively meets with them, both in person and over the phone, to build lasting relationships, discover financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
  • Makes personal connections, engages and educates customers, asks open-ended questions, and listens to establish trust and build lasting relationships.
  • Influences, educates, and connects customers to technology.
  • Possesses initiative and knowledge to provide financial options for customers using a consultative approach.
  • Learns products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately and delivers solutions that make our One Chase products work together.
  • Works in partnership with Specialists (Financial Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers) to connect customers to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in Retail banking sales, Financial services sales, or Consultative relationship sales role in a related industry, with proven success in establishing new clients and deepening customer relationships.
  • High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • Beginning October 1, 2018, the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required), and Life licenses are required. All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses within 180 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products/services to customers with differing needs.
  • Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.

  • Exude confidence with clients when sharing product knowledge and solutions.
