About the position

The Relationship Banker/Senior Relationship Banker is responsible for delivering exceptional client service both in-person and over the phone, focusing on the development and expansion of client relationships. This role involves providing financial solutions tailored to client needs, supporting teller transactions, and contributing to branch sales targets through consultative conversations and referrals to specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an industry-leading client service experience through the development and expansion of client relationships.
  • Exercise advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests and problem resolution.
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services.
  • Support team sales processes by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex client needs to specialists.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Advance knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through training and meetings.
  • Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Ensure a consistent client service experience by engaging clients courteously during transactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 2 years of client sales and service experience.
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Must be SAFE compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check.
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs as required.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with discussing, recommending, and selling various deposit, credit, and retirement products.
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
