About the position

The Relationship Banker position at Truist involves providing exceptional client service both in-person and over the phone, focusing on developing and expanding client relationships. The role includes offering financial solutions tailored to client needs and supporting teller transactions as necessary. Responsibilities

  • Provide an industry-leading client service experience both in person and on the phone.
  • Develop and expand new and existing client relationships.
  • Offer financial solutions based on consultative conversations.
  • Support teller transactions as needed.
  • Meet or exceed client service and branch sales targets.
  • Conduct consultative conversations and refer complex client needs to specialists.
  • Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Advance knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through training.
  • Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
  • Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies.
  • Ensure a consistent client service experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • 2 years of client sales and service experience.
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Must be SAFE compliant within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with discussing and selling various deposit, credit, and retirement products.
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
