EVERYDAY.” Job Title: Relationship Manager Reports to: Chief Philanthropy Officer Classification: Full-time, Exempt Location: Athens, GA About Us: The mission of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia is to connect neighbors with nourishing food. Our team has united for 32 years to: build a greater understanding of food insecurity; create clear pathways for donors, volunteers, and community members to invest in solutions to this widespread problem; to serve as the hub of an expansive supply and distribution network; and, ultimately, to eliminate food insecurity across our 15-county region. Job Summary The Relationship Managerwill have a dual role focused on maintaining a portfolio of donors, prospects and key constituents while overseeing external communications and marketing strategies with a focus on increasing regional brand awareness and expanding donor engagement across the Food Bank's two branches. Key Responsibilities: Relationship Management · Actively cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of current and potential corporate and other institutional donors , facilitating annual corporate support and event sponsorship in alignment with the Food Bank's priorities. · Facilitate corporate engagement through volunteering, tours and other Food Bank experiences · Supports relationship building with elected officials , including preparing materials and messaging, scheduling meetings, and staying apprised of FANO and Feeding Georgia advocacy activities. · Assist team with developing budget, goals, and performance measures. · Accurately track donor and prospect information, deadlines, and action steps in Bloomerang. Brand Awareness (Marketing & Communications) · Lead external brand engagement initiatives including, Hunger Action Month, Hunger Bowl, Empty Bowl and other opportunities · Develop and manage marketing and media placement , including creative development · Develop and prepare communication tools including annual reports, web content, social media, presentation decks, press releases, talking points, and other publication-ready materials. · Supports storytelling work -collecting, writing/editing, filming, warehousing, and strategically utilizing stories told by member and neighbors, in a way that is respectful and responsible. · Manage the appearance, content strategy and updates for all owned channels including website and social media , including the design and publication of original digital market assets, e.g. infographics. · Execute and manage external communication efforts for Food Bank events, including designing invitations for multiple outreach channels (print, website, and texting), and creating registration pages, writing, and managing email blasts. · In collaboration with the CEO and Director of Development, serves as a media spokesperson for the Food Bank, supporting the CEO in community relations and other projects as needed. · Assists with and attends public events as needed. · Ensures that that all Google Analytics, AdWords and Tag Manager efforts are maximized to drive site traffic and better understand conversions. · Tracks, analyzes, and reports on the effectiveness of all marketing activities, including website, social media, email marketing, Google Ads, and paid advertising. · Serves as a trainer of fellow food bank teammates to prepare them to engage in fundraising and as brand ambassadors. · Support other departments to ensure proper adherence to brand standards in all internally and externally facing materials and in the creation and maintenance of the Food Bank's collateral. · Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Commitment to understanding and supporting mission and vision of the Food Bank Candidate must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related area. Strong computer skills (Canva, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint) Proficiency in major social media platforms. Direct experience in media functions a plus. Photography, videography, and video editing a plus. Strong organization and time management skills Good reasoning abilities, ability to independently make decisions using sound judgment Excels at working in a fast-paced environment, meeting concurrent deadlines, and effectively managing time and priorities Must be proactive and self-motivated, organized and demonstrate strong attention to detail with an ability to think critically and problem solve Regular attendance and attention to punctuality are required for a person to be successful in this role Comfortable representing the organization confidently and professionally Personal Qualities: Ability to work collaboratively across all Food Bank departments Ability to use independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations Committed to pushing tasks or projects to completion in a timely manner and with desired results Accuracy, timeliness, attention to detail, highly organized Able to leverage strong verbal and written communication skills with a diverse range of stakeholders including program participants, donors, and community partners Highly organized and self-motivated, with ability to prioritize independently and successfully meet the demands and deadlines of multiple projects Highly flexible and able to multitask Work Environment: Work is values, goals, and deadline oriented. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Some travel required; some extended hours may be required with advance notice.
