About the position

Genesis10 is seeking a Release/Change Analyst for IT Operations at a global reinsurance and P&C insurance firm located in Warren, NJ. This position is a contract role with a right to hire, lasting for 6 months, and is set to start on September 16, 2024, and end on March 14, 2025. The role is hybrid, requiring the analyst to work three days in the office and two days remotely. The primary focus of this position is to ensure that IT production release changes comply with SOX and client change management controls. The Release/Change Analyst will leverage analytical and IT coordination skills to foster cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders and project teams. The responsibilities of the Release/Change Analyst include assisting and guiding teams in completing and submitting compliance checklists and required artifacts on time for their IT production releases. The analyst will be responsible for reviewing and approving IT production release change requests, evaluating the timing of releases for potential business impact or interruption, and analyzing potential conflicts with other planned IT release changes. Additionally, the analyst will ensure that applicable production readiness requirements have been reviewed and approved prior to the change request by Production Operations. The role also involves facilitating communications related to the implementation and validation of production changes, coordinating problem management to support the resolution of production problems generated by IT release changes, and supporting requests from internal and external audits and technical risk officers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and guide teams to complete and submit compliance checklists and required artifacts on-time for their IT production releases.
  • Review and approve IT production release change requests.
  • Evaluate the timing of releases for potential business impact or interruption.
  • Analyze potential conflicts with other planned IT release changes.
  • Ensure that applicable production readiness requirements have been reviewed and approved prior to the change request by Production Operations.

  • Support requests from internal and external audit and technical risk officers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years relevant experience.
  • IT compliance/risk experience is a plus.
  • Previous IT project management and SDLC experience.
  • Experience in Insurance / Financial Services IT.
