At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our diverse team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Blue Origin Space Vehicle Refurbishment Operations team, where our focus is to support the design, development, manufacturing, and RAMS program of the New Glenn Space Launch System. Built for multiple mission profiles, our family of space vehicles is lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, technicians, and specialists, you will develop and execute a program plan to support space vehicles' operational program in the areas of Reliability, Maintainability, and System Safety. In the early phases of a program, you will focus on assessing functional hazards, developing and allocating system safety, reliability/availability, and maintainability requirements, and defining the scope vital to the return to service of the NG Launch Vehicle. In later phases of development, you will manage safety and reliability validation and verification activities, assess the safety and reliability impacts of engineering changes and nonconformance, and ensure that design-specific safety and reliability mitigations are implemented effectively. In this role, you have the opportunity to continue to engage with the product team well into the Launch Vehicle qualification, production, and system certification and operational phases of the program. We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can work with minimal guidance and coordinate teams in the successful execution of Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and System Safety (RAMS) activities.
