The main duties include, but are not limited to: developing a reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) program, recommending real property assets that are candidates for RCM analysis based on an asset criticality assessment coupled with maintenance data analytics using real property asset systems provided by Sandia, and conducting an RCM analysis on selected real property assets. RCM analysis shall be performed using SNL provided software (Uptake PM Strategy Explorer). When SNL provided software cannot be used, consulting resources in collaboration with RCM staff shall perform an RCM analysis using failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) techniques coupled with RCM industry best practices and principles to include asset data and performance requirements; understanding operating context, asset failure consequence, and failure prevention maintenance strategies and tasks, and/or system design changes. Additional responsibilities include performing criticality assessments, maintenance data analytics, identifying real property assets to conduct RCM analysis, developing appropriate maintenance strategies and corresponding new maintenance plans or identifying changes to existing maintenance plans, and performing a lifecycle cost-reliability benefit analysis to justify the implementation of maintenance strategy and plans. RCM deliverables will include Phase II RCM Analyses, maintenance strategies and plans identifying maintenance activities and associated frequency, lifecycle maintenance cost-reliability benefit analysis, and performance monitoring recommendations to evaluate the efficacy of the recommended maintenance strategies and plans.
