About the position

The Reliability Engineer at Nabors is responsible for providing technical support to field operations, analyzing failure trends, and optimizing product performance. This role involves creating and maintaining technical documentation, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with various departments to enhance product reliability and efficiency. The engineer will also be involved in training field personnel and ensuring adherence to quality management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective support to field operations for products/services as a moderator for technical queries.
  • Analyze and respond to query content, escalating queries to Sustaining Engineering where needed.
  • Track field failures and high maintenance costs, finding ways to reduce these failures and costs.
  • Prepare technical failure reports, including root cause analysis and operational analysis on existing and new products.
  • Validate incident tracking statistics and audit databases for quality assurance.
  • Assist in product and process improvements and evaluate field performance of products.
  • Design and perform tests to enhance product performance and provide detailed technical reports.
  • Respond to technical queries from Field Operations in a timely manner, including on-call support.
  • Write operating procedures and prepare draft work instructions for operations.
  • Analyze technical queries to determine trends and specific issues with products/services assigned.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership skills for mentoring and consensus building.
  • Commitment to safety, personal integrity, and ethical business practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 1 Year Experience in Failure Analysis/Root Cause Analysis.
  • Minimum 1 Year Experience in a Repair and Maintenance Role.
  • 1 - 3 years of Industry experience.
  • Analytical experience in determining root cause failure and improving life cycle equipment cost.
