About the position

The Reliability Engineering Manager - Application Engineering will lead the Application Engineering strategy and team, focusing on delivering exceptional pre-sales solutions and consulting services to enhance customer maintenance and reliability practices. This role involves collaboration with various departments to develop strategies that support aggressive growth targets while ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Application Engineering team and manage global resources.
  • Support Sales pre-sale activities through site visits and virtual consultations with end users and OEMs.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to enhance Application Engineering expertise and capabilities.
  • Deliver pre-sale consulting, field visits, and ongoing process improvement implementation.
  • Collaborate with Sales to track and report relevant KPIs and shared accountability for Sales goals.
  • Build and scale global service operations to ensure effective delivery methodologies.
  • Contribute to marketing collateral generation and productization of service offerings.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to create a multi-year roadmap based on customer needs.
  • Act as the face of Application Engineering for the company and industry.
  • Create and present documents and programs related to Perceptiv Services solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline; MS or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of industrial manufacturing experience, preferably with rotating machinery and industrial networking.
  • 10+ years of industrial reliability experience across various industries.
  • Experience managing a Professional Services organization is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sensing modalities and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of plant operations and maintenance best practices.
  • Proven experience in building and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in scaling a professional services business with financial accountability.
  • Experience with analog signal processing and/or Criticality Analysis is preferred.
  • Strong customer-facing skills with a focus on service and customer support.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is a plus.
  • Certified Vibration Analyst is a plus.
  • Experience building analytical tools for reliability reports.
