About the position

The Reliability & Maintainability Engineer at Bell is responsible for developing, managing, and communicating the reliability and maintainability methodology for assigned programs. This role involves performing analyses, executing tests, and leveraging engineering experience to influence design improvements, all while working closely with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) adhering to Military Standards for both hardware and software at multiple indenture levels.
  • Formulate reliability analyses and predictions using Relyence or equivalent software.
  • Plan and execute Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), delivering formal final reports to customers.
  • Collect, analyze, and score Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) data.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering Investigations (EI), and Correction Action Plans (CAP) for failed aircraft components.
  • Leverage experience in aircraft disciplines to influence design through reliability and maintainability improvements.
  • Manage the R&M aspect of the aircraft Model Based Systems Engineering model and run various simulations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of reliability experience in a defense-related industry.
  • Experience developing FMECA and reliability predictions.
  • Working knowledge in an aviation-related discipline (Avionics, Propulsion, Hydraulics, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of activities and tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree with a Major in Engineering.

  • Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
  • Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
