About the position
The Relief Boiler Operator position in Vineland, NJ is a full-time role responsible for monitoring, controlling, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various building components and systems, including refrigeration and steam generating equipment. The operator will ensure the efficient operation of production and utility machinery while adhering to safety and food safety standards. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends, and involves physical demands such as lifting and repetitive motions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control building components and systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical devices and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on utility systems.
- Complete necessary documentation of maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements.
- Assist in utilities maintenance as directed (HVAC, wastewater, etc.).
- Install equipment on utility systems.
- Handle minor and major repairs as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
- NJ Black Seal Boiler License High Pressure or higher.
- Experience in Electro-Mechanical or a related field (preferred).
- PSM Experience (preferred).
- Ability to work in a cold environment (-20 to 40 degrees F) with appropriate PPE.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as pinching and grasping.
- Ability to reach high and low levels frequently.
- Ability to stand, stoop, walk, and bend for up to 12 hours.
