We are currently seeking a talented and creative In-House Interior Designer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our commitment to excellence. As our Remodel Interior Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing interior design solutions for a variety of residential projects and the occasional commercial projects. You will work closely with our architectural and construction teams to ensure that each project reflects our clients' vision while adhering to our high standards of quality and functionality. This role requires a keen eye for design, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and material samples to clients.
  • Collaborate with the Drafting Department, Cabinet Designer, Project Managers, and clients to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces.
  • Select and specify fixtures, finishes, and materials that align with project goals and budget constraints.
  • Manage design projects from initial concept through to final installation, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with design trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to obtain quotes, place orders, and oversee the procurement of design elements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address design-related issues, and ensure quality control.
  • Prepare detailed design documentation, including drawings and specifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential interior design, preferably within a construction or building environment.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect and Buildertrend, but willing to train.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of residential design projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of current design trends, materials, and building codes.
