About the position

The Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping, processing invoices and payments, and maintaining effective communication with customers. This role is essential for maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing cash flow and resolving any discrepancies in accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR accounts, verify and process invoices and payments
• Send invoices, statements, and follow up on overdue payments
• Resolve customer disputes and discrepancies
• Post payments, reconcile AR accounts monthly
• Analyze AR trends, identify potentially uncollectible accounts
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams

Requirements

• 2+ years of AR experience
• Strong accounting knowledge (GAAP)
• Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Certified Accounts Receivable Specialist (CARS) or Certified Accounting Professional (CAP)
