About the position
Our client is searching for a highly skilled Alibaba Cloud Engineer for a temp-to-perm position that can be worked remotely. This role is critical as the organization is building a new application and requires a professional who can design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures using Alibaba Cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud design and architecture, with a deep understanding of Alibaba Cloud services and solutions, as well as Terraform. This resource will act as a liaison between the offshore teams and the US teams, ensuring that the infrastructure is built correctly and efficiently. The candidate will be responsible for putting everything in code and ensuring that the design aligns with the architectural standards required by the US teams. The client is working directly with Alibaba to obtain a design beforehand, making this role pivotal in the overall project success. The Alibaba Cloud Engineer will collaborate closely with development teams to integrate cloud solutions into applications, monitor and optimize cloud performance, and ensure high availability and reliability of the cloud infrastructure. Staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing and Alibaba Cloud services is essential for this position. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with various teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures using Alibaba Cloud.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role, with a focus on Alibaba Cloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Alibaba Cloud services such as ECS, RDS, OSS, and VPC.
- Experience with cloud security, networking, and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
