About the position
The Remote Audiologist position at HearingLife is a full-time role focused on providing clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating hearing loss while ensuring a positive patient experience. The role emphasizes patient care, practice growth, and adherence to professional licensing standards, all within a supportive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality care and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing tests and hearing aid fittings.
- Perform checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Achieve practice growth with a strong focus on sales and key business metrics while maintaining ethical standards.
- Engage in local community outreach, including health fairs and developing physician relationships.
- Counsel patients on the purchase of hearing aids, devices, and accessories, while understanding third-party payors and payment methods.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly clinical finance targets in collaboration with the PCC and Manager.
- Support Telehealth initiatives to expand patient care and product portfolio.
- Maintain continuing education requirements based on state regulations.
- Operate audiometric equipment and interpret results for patients.
- Communicate test results and propose treatment in an easily understood manner.
- Lead, mentor, and grow within the organization, participating in growth initiatives.
Requirements
- Active Hearing Aid Dispensing License or Audiology License in accordance with state requirements.
- 2+ years of Hearing Aid sales experience or 2 years of equivalent industry training under a licensed HIS or AuD.
