About the position

The Remote Automation Tester position at Insight Global is designed for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with extensive experience in data analytics platforms and complex data processing pipelines. The role involves developing and executing automated test plans, scripts, and reports in a SAFe Agile environment, ensuring systems meet compliance and performance standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with customers and teams to enhance testing processes and maintain high-quality automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing and analysis of complex systems to ensure compliance with requirements and performance in production.
• Lead and take ownership of automated testing processes and implement them; contribute to the design and maintenance of the test automation framework.
• Independently develop performance, functional, behavioral, API, and 508 test scripts using applicable tools, create test scenarios and execute tests.
• Analyze test results, identify performance root causes, and write test reports to recommend system improvements.
• Coordinate with other testers and developers to resolve test problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Attend requirements gathering meetings to understand business needs and functional/system requirements.
• Focus on end-to-end pipeline health and visibility into overall program quality.
• Produce detailed testing documents, including testing plans, test cases, test data, and test scripts for automation.
• Develop testing status reporting tools and methods for stakeholders to assess system status and details as needed.
• Develop high-quality automation test engineering best practices, test strategy, and principles.
• Provide regular communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments.
• Work across stakeholders and teams to continuously improve testing processes.
• Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience testing web-based applications (performance, functional, behavioral, API, and 508).
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (7 years general IT experience and 4 years in testing).
• 4+ years of test automation experience.
• Experience testing APIs and conducting User Acceptance Testing with users.
• Solid experience with Javascript-based testing.
• Knowledge of GitHub Actions and Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of basic programming languages and concepts.
• Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.
• Demonstrated experience working on large integration systems and executing large-scale projects with large data sets.

• Familiarity with Playwright test automation framework.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
