About the position

The Remote Bilingual (Spanish) Customer Service Representative at Guidehealth is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients and members in a healthcare setting. This role involves answering calls, resolving inquiries, and maintaining professionalism while ensuring accurate documentation and follow-through on client interactions. The representative will also assist with additional projects as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the customer service team.

Responsibilities

  • Answering client and member calls in a timely manner.
  • Providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Interpreting client health plan protocols.
  • Assisting with claims processing and workflow queues as assigned.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete call documentation.
  • Returning incoming calls and addressing inquiries regarding claims payment and coverage information.
  • Supporting additional projects and mailing tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a high volume healthcare call center is required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims review or processing is required.
  • Experience in Health Care/Health insurance is required.
  • Familiarity with BCBS HMOI or other insurance plans is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using multiple systems including Teams and Excel; experience with Jira is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Availability for an 8-hour shift between 8am to 6pm Central time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HMO Managed care and Medicare Advantage.
