About the position

The Remote Business Analyst position is a contract role focused on leading product development from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis or as a product owner, with a strong emphasis on communication and collaboration across various teams. This role requires hands-on involvement in gathering requirements, facilitating discussions, and ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives. The position is 100% remote but may require up to 25% travel to locations such as Denver, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Candidates should be experienced professionals who can work independently in a loosely agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit articulated and unarticulated business requirements through in-person or virtual interactions
  • Challenge and influence business partners on requirements to support and align with enterprise-wide objectives
  • Document requirement descriptions, acceptance criteria, and functional design requirements, as well as associated data definitions/use cases
  • Analyze business technology and process solutions to determine solutions' priority, measurable business value, global impact, and ROI benefit
  • Analyze and document the anticipated impact solutions will have on other stakeholders, processes, and related systems functionality
  • Collaborate with the solution delivery team to prioritize requirements in upcoming releases and the full requirements backlog
  • Proactively communicate potential cross-functional dependencies and risks, and propose mitigation plans or interim workaround solutions
  • Ensure solution delivery team efforts align with broader/cross-functional priorities
  • Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to the solution delivery team
  • Manage quality assurance team efforts during testing activities
  • Perform detailed Business Analyst approval and testing
  • Identify and resolve conflicts and negotiate changes in priorities, design, and/or scope
  • Facilitate business demonstrations and discovery workshops
  • Support technology and process change management efforts including communications, planning, impact analysis, training, etc.
  • Successfully engage in multiple, simultaneous initiatives, and report progress toward delivery goals including the estimated time needed to deliver artifacts

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of Business Analyst or Product Owner experience at the enterprise level
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build personas or journey mapping
  • Experience working with HR, Finance, Operations, and IT teams
  • Comfortable presenting to Senior Level people
  • Experience in a loosely agile environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience with tools such as Nero, Aha, Jira, and/or Viso
  • Proficiency in Excel
