About the position

The Remote Business Tax Accountant at Intuit is a seasonal position focused on providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, particularly for business tax returns. The role involves managing complex tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations while utilizing TurboTax Live Business products. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's mission of Powering Prosperity Around the World by ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Provide expert guidance and explanations of tax and technical terms to customers.
• Assist TurboTax Business customers with tax advice and full-service business return preparation.
• Utilize video communications software to interact with customers professionally.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals.
• Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season.
• Active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software.
• Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
