About the position

The Patient Concierge Specialist role at Millennia involves providing exceptional customer service to patients regarding their medical bills through a virtual call center. The specialist will make outbound courtesy calls, manage high call volumes, and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality while assisting with financial inquiries. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound courtesy calls to assist patients with their medical bills.
  • Achieve daily metrics by handling approximately 80-100 calls per day.
  • Follow scripted verbiage for various topics concerning medical bills.
  • Keep accurate records of all conversations in the database.
  • Manage dual monitors, a virtual phone system, and multiple software applications during calls.
  • Identify patient needs, clarify information, and provide solutions while maintaining respect for patient privacy.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer and/or patient support role.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening abilities.
  • Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
  • Understanding and pronunciation of basic medical terms.
