About the position

The position involves deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing cloud-based environments to ensure their availability, performance, scalability, and security. The role focuses on building, releasing, and configuring these environments while ensuring continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes. The candidate will also be responsible for system troubleshooting, security standards implementation, and evaluating new technology options.

Responsibilities

• Deploying, automating, maintaining, and managing cloud-based production, pre-production, and development environments.
• Building, releasing, and configuring management of cloud environments.
• Conducting pre-production acceptance testing to assure product/service quality.
• Ensuring 24/7 system uptime and smooth CI/CD and DevOps processes.
• Designing, implementing, and executing backup and recovery and business continuity processes.
• Implementing security standards and ensuring critical system security.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains.
• Suggesting architecture and process improvements.
• Evaluating new technology options and vendor products.
• Monitoring maintenance and outages, assessing impact, and developing strategies to minimize impact.
• Creating and following up on AWS/Azure support tickets.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years' experience with a broad range of cloud technologies (e.g., EC2, ECR, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, ELB, EFS, EBD, S3, VPC, SNS, SQS, SES, CloudWatch, Route 53).
• Core experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure environment.
• Automation experience with configuration management tools.
• Experience with machine-generated big data searching, monitoring, and analysis using tools such as Splunk.
• Strong experience in the CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Maven, TwistLock, etc.
• Linux and Windows system administration experience.
• Understanding of network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., CDK, CloudFormation, TerraForm).
• AWS or Azure technical certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong OO Programming skills (Java or C#).
• Basic DB administration experience (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
