About the position

The Remote Customer Care Representative is responsible for handling inbound customer service calls related to patient accounting inquiries. The role emphasizes providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and documenting interactions accurately. The representative may also make outbound calls to follow up on outstanding accounts when call volumes are low.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound customer service calls and make outbound follow-up calls professionally.
  • Assist callers with their questions, concerns, or problems focusing on first call resolution.
  • Document all actions during calls in proprietary software.
  • Participate in 1x1s and huddles with leadership to review performance and provide coaching.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an inbound call center or customer service environment.
  • Knowledge of hospital patient account billing and third-party reimbursements is a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and calming tone of voice.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare or hospital settings.
  • Familiarity with managed healthcare contracts.
