With its headquarters in Oakland, California, the company has assembled a global team of scientists, engineers, and agronomists who are passionate about artificial intelligence and sustainable agriculture. We are currently seeking a remote Customer Success Manager to oversee the Pacific Northwest territory. This role reports to the head of customer success and business development for the region. The primary responsibility of the Customer Success Manager is to ensure that our customers receive exceptional support and consultation regarding Ceres products and services. This includes engaging with medium to large agricultural enterprises, which are often part of larger land management organizations, upselling accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and managing the onboarding and renewal processes. The position is remote but requires approximately 25% travel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong agronomic background and a deep understanding of modern agtech, particularly imaging technologies. This expertise will enable the Customer Success Manager to assist customers in optimizing their use of water, chemicals, and fertilizers to achieve better yield outcomes. Ceres Imaging offers a competitive base salary starting at $85,000 per year, with the potential for more based on experience, alongside an uncapped commission structure, monthly employee stipends, home office setup support, and comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow positive relationships with customers in the region through demonstrated agronomic expertise.
  • Work effectively with the Ceres Imaging global science team to provide agronomic recommendations via Zoom and in-person meetings with new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with Product Management regarding product usage, service, design, and development.
  • Minimize customer churn by handling and resolving customer requests and escalations.
  • Liaise with the flight operations team to monitor and manage flight schedules.
  • Expand the existing customer base through the introduction of new products and features.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the agriculture industry such as agronomy, crop science, ag technology, plant and soil health, and precision agriculture.
  • Proven track record of meeting or surpassing goals, preferably in Ag SaaS companies.
  • Experience with data management systems.
  • Excellent communication and written skills.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of data and analytics solutions.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer success roles within the agriculture technology sector.
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications in agriculture.
