About the position

As a Data Engineer at AIS, you will leverage cutting-edge cloud and data technologies to provide innovative solutions for global brands and federal agencies. This role emphasizes the design and implementation of data pipelines, troubleshooting, and developing visual reports, all while working in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
• Troubleshoot ADF workflow issues.
• Support data and infrastructure teams in troubleshooting production and non-production issues.
• Utilize Agile methodologies, Azure DevOps, and GitHub tools to assist in the software development lifecycle.
• Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
• Connect data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence.
• Translate data into informative reports and visuals through analytical thinking.
• Perform advanced-level calculations on data sets.
• Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Must have and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Knowledge and experience working with SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Data Structures and ingesting data from APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with GitHub and knowledge of CI/CD concepts (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Minimum 2 years of development experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI.
• Minimum 2 years of development experience with Python and SQL.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in an Azure cloud environment.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in Cloud Automation Framework using Terraform or Bicep.
