About the position

A large financial services company is seeking a Data Warehouse Architect to join their team. The organization is currently facing challenges with production data that is separate from their company, and they are looking for an expert to evaluate their environment and help create a reporting layer solution. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of data-related concepts, including data warehouses, data lakes, and the ability to build data pipelines both on-premises and in the cloud. Additionally, the role involves data monitoring, modeling, and database management. This position is being offered as a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, contingent upon the candidate's ability to assist with planning, proposing, and implementing solutions. The role is fully remote, and the team is eager to bring someone on board as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the current data environment and identify areas for improvement.
• Design and implement data warehouse solutions that meet business needs.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor data quality and performance, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
• Present findings and proposals to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience providing data solutions for a large enterprise company.
• Advanced understanding of data warehouse implementation, preferably with MongoDB and Oracle.
• Experience with data lakes and building data pipelines in both on-prem and cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of data monitoring, modeling, and database management.
• Experience with ETL processes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ability to present technical information to executive leadership.
