As a Remote Demand Planner at Insight Global, you will play a crucial role in developing statistical forecast models using our demand planning tools, based on historical order data. Your primary responsibility will be to support the creation of a comprehensive demand plan, making necessary adjustments to accommodate promotions, new product introductions, phase-outs, and supply chain strategies. This will involve utilizing the parameters and functionalities of our demand planning tools effectively. You will be tasked with comparing demand plans against business and financial plans to identify and resolve any discrepancies through Demand Reviews as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. A deep understanding of S&OP within the enterprise is essential, as you will be responsible for reporting the forecast accuracy of demand plans and identifying root causes of any inaccuracies, recommending actions to enhance accuracy. In situations where sales or category input is unavailable, you will provide a demand plan that meets supply chain planning requirements and maintains customer service levels. Your role will also involve leveraging sales, finance, and marketing information—sometimes confidential—to drive demand plans. Additionally, you will recommend improvements to supply chain processes that impact customer service and inventory levels, and create demand models that influence changes in customer and product mix. Adjusting consensus plans to account for forecast consumption, backlog, and supply constraints will also be part of your responsibilities.
