About the position

The Remote Elementary Math Teacher at Think Academy US is responsible for teaching math to students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. This role involves preparing engaging lessons based on the academy's curriculum, delivering online classes, and maintaining communication with students and parents regarding their progress. The position is designed for enthusiastic educators who are passionate about fostering critical thinking and logic skills in young learners.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and teaching online math classes for students on a weekly basis (7-10 classes = approximately 12-20 hours/week)
• Conducting 1-on-1 evaluations with new students to help them enroll in the correct classes (5-10 hours/week)
• Grading homework and communicating with parents weekly to update them on students' learning progress and areas for improvement (5-7 hours/week)
• Participating in paid teaching assistant work by attending classes and learning from experienced lead teachers' teaching methods
• Completing other work assigned by the teaching management team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher; all majors are welcome, though Education or STEM-related majors are preferred
• Prior math teaching experience is a plus
• Availability and willingness to work full-time from Wednesday to Sunday starting November 2024
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with parents
• Passionate about teaching and responsible
