The Remote Epic Application Coordinator (Cupid/Radiant) is a critical role within the IT - Ancillary Systems department, primarily responsible for the design, build, configuration, testing, validation, and ongoing support of the EPIC application(s). This position is fully remote, and candidates must reside in specific US states. The coordinator will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the software functionality and operational workflows that will be implemented with the EPIC system. This includes attending application support training and completing certification projects and tests to ensure proficiency in the application. Key responsibilities include maintaining regular communication with vendor implementation representatives and collaborating with the organization’s business community and end users to ensure that the system aligns with business needs. The Application Coordinator will also be tasked with leading meetings, prioritizing tasks, resolving conflicts, and managing project plan activities. Strong communication skills are essential, as the coordinator must effectively probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences system design. The role requires familiarity with integration points between Epic and non-Epic applications, particularly in the context of clinic-based and hospital-based cardiology and radiology locations. Understanding how these departments interact with other areas of the organization, such as ordering physicians, billing offices, and medical records, is crucial. While knowledge of CPACS, DICOM, and PACS integration is beneficial, it is not mandatory. The coordinator will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, collaborating with training teams, and participating in the planning and execution of application go-live and post-live activities.
