About the position

The Finance Director at Proteintech Group Inc. is a project-based role focused on supporting the Corporate Headquarters Accounting team in Rosemont, IL. This position is critical as the company prepares for an IPO in 2025 and implements a global Dynamics 365 system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, controller experience, and expertise in global entity consolidation. The role involves leading financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing training on accounting policies.

Responsibilities

  • Update and execute the current manual spreadsheet close process to prepare quarterly financial statements for KPMG audit and S1 filing for IPO.
  • Lead the Global Dynamics 365 implementation for financial consolidation and closing processes.
  • Create, distribute, and provide training for group-wide Accounting Policies for Revenue Recognition, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany transactions.
  • Develop a process to track foreign exchange rates for global consolidation across six different currencies.
  • Establish intercompany accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, and purchases reconciliation for global consolidation eliminations.
  • Design and implement an internal control system to meet COSO requirements for future audits.
  • Support the transition from QuickBooks to Dynamics for the US entity, including payroll and credit card applications.
  • Implement processes to translate financials to GAAP for small entities in Singapore and Australia.
  • Create annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes for multiple entities.
  • Work with leadership to build a detailed 5-year financial forecast.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting with public accounting experience.
  • Previous controller experience.
  • Experience with global entity consolidation.
  • Understanding of US GAAP and SEC filing requirements.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 is desired.
  • FP&A experience is helpful but not required.
  • Strong skills in Excel and financial model building, especially for consolidation models.
  • Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach to data analysis.
