About the position
Think Academy US is seeking a Part-Time Higher Elementary Remote Math Teacher to engage with students in grades 3 to 5. The role involves teaching mathematics virtually, preparing lessons based on the company's curriculum, and managing an online classroom. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and capable of delivering engaging lessons to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
Responsibilities
- Teach higher elementary mathematics virtually through the Think Academy Teaching Platform.
- Actively engage and manage an online classroom of up to 18 students.
- Prepare and deliver lessons using Think Academy's curriculum and teaching guidance.
- Grade homework and provide other essential teaching-related services.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents, offering timely and personalized feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above; all majors are welcome, with a preference for Education or STEM-related majors.
- Ability to commit to at least two semesters of teaching starting from the 2024 Fall Semester.
- Available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior math teaching experience is a plus.
- Experience in elementary math competition learning or teaching.
