About the position

RogueThink is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to design, manage, and optimize data infrastructure for large-scale projects. This position requires a candidate who can work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business analysts, to ensure that data systems meet the organization's needs for performance, security, and scalability. The role is primarily remote; however, the candidate must reside in the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia) area for occasional in-person meetings. An active Secret clearance is required for this position. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architecture solutions that align with both business and technical requirements. You will oversee the development and maintenance of data models, data warehouses, and databases, ensuring that they are optimized for performance and security. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential, as you will define data governance policies, data security measures, and data integration strategies. You will also work with teams to optimize data workflows, ETL processes, and data pipelines, leading architecture reviews and providing guidance on best practices. Compliance with federal regulations and security standards will be a critical aspect of your role, ensuring that all data systems are secure and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data architecture solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Must reside in the DMV area and be available for occasional on-site meetings.
