About the position

The Project Manager at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is responsible for overseeing the execution of projects from inception to the end of the guarantee period. This role involves managing all aspects of the project, including contractual, financial, technical, and planning elements, to ensure that project objectives are met within time and budget constraints. The position requires comprehensive experience in managing complex Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects and strong skills in scope management, conflict resolution, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and organizes the means to execute the contract.
  • Manages the project's team, ensuring personnel understand the project's stakes and organization, share objectives, and are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Manages relationships with all external and internal stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.
  • Reports any major impacts immediately.
  • Defines project objectives, plans works, actions, and budgets costs and revenues.
  • Assesses and controls detailed project budget and planning, issuing periodical internal progress reports.
  • Assesses risks and opportunities management on projects.
  • Manages project changes and claims management.
  • Actively participates in technical meetings.
  • Interacts with technical experts to resolve issues and risks.
  • Anticipates and addresses specific topics and critical issues with discipline engineers, validating and following up on action plans.
  • Participates in materials coordination and project planning with manufacturing facilities.
  • Works closely with PSI leadership to ensure Services manufacturing is held to schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or other related technical degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering and project management of capital equipment contracts.
  • Experience in EP and EPC projects within domestic and international industrial markets, including oil and gas, power, and chemical sectors.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Suite, MS Project, AUTO-CAD, Primavera P6, and SAP.

Nice-to-haves

  • P. Eng. Certification is preferred but not required.
  • PMP Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience within the Water or Wastewater Industry preferred but not required.
