About the position

The Medical Insurance Verification Specialist is a remote entry-level position focused on providing exceptional customer service to members and providers in the healthcare sector. This role involves verifying insurance benefits, answering inquiries, and assisting with various enrollment processes, all while promoting a positive experience for callers. The specialist will work both independently and as part of a team, embodying the core values of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls from members and providers.
  • Complete insurance benefit and eligibility verification with both members and providers.
  • Provide claim status and information.
  • Promote the use of TML Health website and online tools to members and providers.
  • Complete Accident/Injury questionnaires, check tracers, and other insurance forms.
  • Communicate complex claim issues and properly escalate calls.
  • Update mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses for members.
  • Reset passwords for membership as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of medical insurance verification experience.
  • 6+ months of healthcare and call center experience.
  • Strong computer skills and typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
  • Minimum high school diploma.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual candidates preferred (2 bilingual and 2 non-bilingual).
  • Candidates from Bay City or Port Isabel, TX are preferred.
