About the position
The REMOTE Medical Insurance Verification Specialist at TEKsystems is an entry-level position focused on providing exceptional customer service to members and providers in the healthcare sector. The role involves verifying insurance benefits, answering inquiries, and assisting with various enrollment processes, all while promoting a positive experience for callers. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound phone calls from members and providers
- Complete insurance benefit and eligibility verification with both members and providers
- Provide claim status and information
- Promote the use of TML Health website and online tools to members and providers
- Complete Accident/Injury questionnaires, check tracers and other insurance forms
- Communicate complex claim issues and properly escalate calls
- Update mailing addresses, phone numbers and email addresses for members
- Reset passwords for membership as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of medical insurance verification experience
- 6+ months of Healthcare and Call Center experience
- Strong computer skills
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Must reside in Texas
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual candidates preferred (2 bilingual and 2 non-bilingual)
- Experience with COBRA enrollment payment questions
- Familiarity with wellness exam processes
