About the position

The Remote Middle School Math Teacher at Think Academy US is responsible for delivering engaging online math classes to students in grades 6-12. This role involves preparing lessons, conducting evaluations, grading assignments, and maintaining communication with students and parents. The position is designed for enthusiastic educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to fostering students' critical thinking and logic skills through innovative teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and teaching online math classes for students on a weekly basis (7-10 classes = approximately 12-20 hours/week)
• Participating in paid teaching assistant work by attending classes and learning from experienced lead teachers' methods
• Conducting 1-on-1 evaluations with new students to help them enroll in the correct classes (5-10 hours/week)
• Grading homework and communicating with parents weekly to update them on students' learning progress and areas for improvement (5-7 hours/week)
• Completing other work assigned by the teaching management team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher; all majors are welcome, though Education or STEM-related majors are preferred
• Prior math teaching experience is a plus
• Availability and willingness to work full-time from Wednesday to Sunday starting November 2024
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with parents
