About the position

The Business Operations Manager at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation will play a pivotal role in delivering maximum customer value by driving operational and process excellence for the Fleet Support team. This position requires a strategic mindset and a high level of execution skills to enhance Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics processes. The manager will be responsible for shaping strategies related to comprehensive diagnostics offerings, lessor data sharing, and simplifying Third Party Agreements. Additionally, the role involves managing the FLIGHT DECK operating rhythms across Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics teams, ensuring that the Fleet Support operations run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, the Business Operations Manager will own the Fleet Support contract processes, ensuring effective execution, flow down, and fulfillment. This includes leading on-site customer audits and overseeing business processes for the Entry Into Service (EIS) of Tier 2 customers. The manager will develop and evolve business strategies while applying FLIGHT DECK principles to improve processes, maintain consistency, and implement best practices within their area of responsibility. Coordination with internal Sales/Marketing teams and Joint Venture partners will be essential for developing diagnostics contract strategies, enhancing service value selling, and improving customer engagement. The manager will also define, develop, and manage key performance metrics to drive operational excellence across the Fleet Support organization. This includes managing third-party suppliers involved in process execution and communicating process initiatives and team performance to senior leadership. Utilizing Voice of the Customer (VOC) feedback from both external customers and internal teams will be crucial for evolving customer engagement strategies and maximizing customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the manager will oversee the ARINC contract for the transmission of ACARS data, ensuring compliance and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own Fleet Support contract processes, execution, flow down, and fulfillment, including leadership in on-site customer audits.
  • Own business processes and execution for Entry Into Service (EIS) of Tier 2 customers.
  • Develop/evolve business strategy and use FLIGHT DECK principles in process improvement, consistency, and best practices regarding area of responsibility.
  • Lead coordination with internal Sales/Marketing and JV partners on diagnostics contract strategy, service value sell, and customer engagement.
  • Define, develop, and manage key performance metrics to drive operational excellence, across the Fleet Support organization.
  • Manage 3rd party supplier(s) used in support of process execution.
  • Communicate process initiatives and team performance to senior leadership.
  • Utilize VOC from external customers and internal customer teams to evolve customer engagement and support strategies to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Manage ARINC contract for transmission of ACARS data.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of engineering operations experience (or a minimum high school diploma / GED with an additional 4+ years of engineering operations experience).
  • 5+ years of experience with data manipulation and databases.
  • 5+ years of experience with data manipulation tools (ie: Excel, Spotfire/Power BI, Python).
