Stauffer Glove & Safety, a family-owned and operated business for five generations, is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Account Manager to join our Midwest Regional Team. This position will service the Northern Indiana and Western Michigan Sales Territory. The ideal candidate will possess a strong business acumen, a high sense of urgency, and excellent organizational skills. The role requires the ability to successfully negotiate and maintain positive professional relationships with clients. With over 115 years of experience in the industry, Stauffer Glove & Safety offers employees the stability of working with a leader in the distribution of safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) products. As an Outside Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for executing the sales strategy, which includes establishing and developing the regional market share in your assigned territory. You will meet established sales goals through new customer sales growth and the introduction of new products and services to existing customers. The role involves actively prospecting for new customers, understanding their needs, and creating a strong customer-supplier relationship. You will collaborate with the National Accounts Manager to service existing National Account locations and manage all customer interactions in your territory. In addition to sales responsibilities, you will prepare sales information for customers, coordinate renewal activities, negotiate pricing, and provide technical specifications on products. You will also be involved in providing onsite customer support for vending services, conducting product training, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure orders and manage inventory levels. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with typical working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, although hours may vary based on customer needs and travel requirements.
