About the position

Adams & Martin Group is excited to offer a remote contract paralegal opportunity for California residents. This position is designed for skilled paralegals or law clerks who are looking for a flexible work arrangement while contributing to a dynamic legal team. The contract assignment is expected to last between 6 months to 1 year, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. This role is ideal for those with a strong background in litigation, particularly in managing discovery processes. As a paralegal in this position, you will be responsible for managing discovery responses and requests efficiently, ensuring that all deadlines are met accurately. You will also perform common file conversions and assist with light drafting tasks, including removals, Case Management Conference (CMC) statements, and joint reports. Your proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and Adobe will be essential for various tasks, and you will be required to accurately enter work into the case billing software, MyCase. Additionally, you will provide a second set of eyes for calendaring tasks, further ensuring that the legal team operates smoothly and effectively. The compensation for this role is competitive, with an hourly salary ranging from $30 to $45, based on your experience. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must reside in California.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Experience with discovery processes.
  • Completed Paralegal Studies course from an ABA accredited program or equivalent with an Attestation letter from an Attorney.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
