About the position

The Privacy Coordinator at Trinity Health is responsible for managing privacy-related matters and projects under the direction of the Privacy Center of Expertise. This role involves collaboration to ensure Electronic Health Record (EHR) monitoring, addressing access issues, and promoting compliance with privacy regulations. The coordinator will also engage in performance improvement activities and manage small-scale projects while providing training and support to business clients.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of routine to moderately complex privacy matters and projects.
• Collaborate within the Privacy Center of Expertise to resolve EHR access issues.
• Perform periodic assessments to measure risk and compliance levels throughout Trinity Health.
• Utilize multiple system applications for analysis, reporting, and educational material development.
• Manage and implement small-scale projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
• Develop and provide training sessions on privacy contract policies and procedures.
• Monitor and audit EHR access, investigating inappropriate access findings.
• Assist with the implementation of new projects resulting from regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of healthcare experience, including Integrity and Audit Services.
• Experience with EMR technology, specifically EPIC.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and database utilization.

Nice-to-haves

• Compliance, Audit, and/or Privacy Certification.
