About the position

Design Pickle is seeking an experienced Product Designer to enhance the product experience for customers and creatives in a two-sided marketplace. This role requires a blend of entrepreneurial drive, analytical thinking, and a commitment to improving creative workflows. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with various teams to shape the trajectory of a growing startup-like business.

Responsibilities

  • Create prototypes that identify the best product experiences and launch innovative features.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and evolve user interface systems and features.
  • Identify opportunities to improve user experiences through product offerings.
  • Collaborate efficiently with teams across different time zones.
  • Develop clickable, realistic prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
  • Bridge the gap between design and engineering to refine design intent.
  • Transform customer insights into effective design patterns and experiences.
  • Iterate on product designs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Present design concepts to stakeholders and measure their impact on business KPIs.
  • Oversee multiple projects and ensure team members are set up for success.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in product design and collaboration with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
  • Expertise in product design best practices across web and mobile platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data analytics and user testing to inform design decisions.
  • Technical understanding of the software development lifecycle and design paradigms.
  • Experience in visual and interactive software design and Agile development environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Product Development, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in technology-enabled services.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Miro, and Jira/Confluence.
  • Experience contributing to a software platform design system.
  • Experience working with remote teams.
