About the position

Concordia Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our Engineering and Construction Teams. This role is crucial in managing various construction, engineering, procurement, and related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, self-driven, and capable of handling pressure effectively, as our company manages multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and robust problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this position. Familiarity with local subcontractors is a significant advantage, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to navigate the complexities of our projects. As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining project data in our company's database, coordinating with Project Managers regarding project start dates and permit statuses, and overseeing the permit process for commercial installation jobs across the country. You will also arrange timely payments for permits, track open permits, and report progress to Project Managers. Your role will involve coordinating final inspections, requesting change orders and surety bonds, and arranging construction testing and engineering services as necessary. You will support Project Managers for assigned projects, create and update project schedules throughout the various phases of development, and administer the RFP process for long lead procurement and EPC services. Additionally, you will review and collaboratively edit project contractual documents, find technical solutions for the project team, and manage the document control process for assigned projects. Leading constructability reviews and other project engineering and construction meetings will also be part of your responsibilities, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients on current and pending status of jobs.
  • Maintaining project data in company's database.
  • Coordinating with Project Managers on project start dates and status of permits for jobs.
  • Overseeing the permit process for commercial install jobs across the country.
  • Arranging for payment for permits in a timely manner.
  • Tracking open permits and reporting progress to Project Managers.
  • Coordinating the final inspections of jobs as required.
  • Requesting change orders and surety bonds for permits and business licenses.
  • Arranging for construction testing and engineering services if necessary.
  • Supporting Project Managers for assigned projects.
  • Creating and updating project schedules from mid-stage development through engineering, procurement, and construction phases of projects.
  • Administering the RFP process for long lead procurement and EPC services.
  • Reviewing and collaboratively editing project contractual documents and exhibits.
  • Finding technical solutions for the project team.
  • Providing project information for project stakeholders and managing the document control process for assigned projects.
  • Leading constructability reviews and other project engineering and construction meetings with in-house staff.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • At least 2+ years of related experience.
  • High standard of integrity and reliability.
  • Demonstrated management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work under very tight time requirements and deadlines.
  • Project management knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with others.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and speaking English.
  • Familiarity with typical computer applications such as MS Project, Master Builder, AutoCAD, CRM, and other construction-related software.
