About the position

Woodland Psychiatry is seeking a compassionate and personable Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our remote team. This part-time, contract position offers the flexibility to choose your own hours while providing outpatient psychiatric medication management via telehealth. The role emphasizes patient-tailored care through a holistic approach, integrating medication, therapy, and lifestyle modifications. The PMHNP will conduct initial evaluations and follow-up visits, ensuring high-quality, non-rushed care for patients seeking mental health support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and therapy
• Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Provide patient education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
• Utilize telehealth platforms for virtual consultations and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts using an EHR

Requirements

• MSN or DNP Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Current state licensure as a PMHNP
• Current ANCC Certification
• Current DEA license in your state (or willing to apply for one)

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in telehealth services
• Training in specialized therapies (CBT, ERP, EMDR etc.)
