About the position

The Remote Reservations Agent at Stein Eriksen Lodge is responsible for managing incoming leisure, group, and spa reservation calls for all properties. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service while maximizing occupancy and rates. The position includes on-site training and requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls within three rings in a courteous manner and respond to guests promptly and efficiently.
• Sell rooms to individuals and small groups, entering information into the reservations system.
• Maximize occupancy and rates by effectively selling room features and amenities to prospective guests.
• Ensure timely completion of call back requests and maintain reservation information for critical dates and special events.
• Process all types of reservations accurately, including guaranteed, advance deposits, cancellations, and VIP requests.
• Collaborate with front desk personnel for room changes and guest room blocking as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with travel agents and wholesalers.
• Assist in answering PBX as required and demonstrate a pleasant attitude with all guests and employees.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service skills and communication abilities.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with internet usage.
• Entry-level experience in a similar role.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Maestro and/or PMS systems.
• Experience in a reservations or customer service role.
